Terms of Use
Last updated: October 11, 2026
In short: Pitwall is free to use during the beta, for personal and work projects. Don't redistribute or resell the app. It's beta software provided as is, so double-check anything important in the agent itself.
These terms apply to the Pitwall app for macOS ("the app"), provided by oasislab.dev ("we"). By installing or using the app, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app. Questions: [email protected].
Beta and pricing
The app is in beta and is free to use during the beta. We may introduce paid features later. If we do, we'll describe them and their price on this website before they're offered, and you'll never be charged unless you choose to buy. Beta builds may change or stop working as the app evolves.
Your license
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the app on Macs you own or control, for any personal or commercial work. You may not:
- redistribute, sell, rent or sublicense the app, or offer it as a service;
- modify the app, or reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble it, except where the law allows this despite this restriction;
- remove or work around any license checks or notices in the app.
The app is proprietary. We keep all rights not expressly granted here, including the Pitwall name and icon.
Open-source collector
The event collector (the hooks and extension that record agent events) is open source under the MIT License. That license, not these terms, governs the collector's source code.
Changes to your agent configs
Installing the collector adds Pitwall's hooks or extension to the agents you choose. Before changing an existing config file, the installer saves a backup and preserves settings and hooks unrelated to Pitwall. Uninstalling removes Pitwall's hooks or extension from the current configuration; it does not replace it with an earlier backup. Event files and backups remain on your Mac unless you delete them. Review the changes and keep any backups you need.
Third-party agents
Pitwall works with coding agents made by other companies. It isn't affiliated with or endorsed by them, and their names and trademarks belong to their owners. How those agents behave, and your use of them, is governed by their own terms. Updates to an agent can change what Pitwall can see.
Accuracy
Pitwall shows status based on the signals each agent provides, and those signals are sometimes incomplete. A status, notification or duration can be late, missing or wrong. Don't rely on Pitwall alone for anything important: check the agent itself before approving actions, merging work or assuming a task succeeded.
No warranty
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the extent the law allows.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits or work, arising from your use of the app. Since the app is free during the beta, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the app, if any. Some jurisdictions don't allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you.
Ending the license
You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling the collector (pitwall-collector uninstall) and deleting the app. Your license ends automatically if you break these terms.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when paid features are introduced. We'll update the date above and note significant changes on the home page. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Privacy
How the app handles data is described in the Privacy Policy.
