Pitwall macOS Terms of Use
Last updated: October 14, 2026
In short: The core features of Pitwall macOS are free; Pitwall Pro is a US$29 one-time purchase that adds Pro features and a year of updates, refundable within 14 days. Use it for personal and work projects, but don't redistribute or resell it. The app is provided as is, so double-check anything important in the agent itself.
These terms apply to Pitwall macOS ("the app"), provided by oasislab.dev ("we"). By installing or using the app, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app. Questions: [email protected].
Free use, trial and Pitwall Pro
- Trial. A new install starts a 14-day trial of every feature. No account or payment details are needed.
- Free. After the trial, the board, menu bar, notifications, returning to sessions and task history keep working, free, in every version released before your trial ended. Versions released after that need a license.
- Pitwall Pro costs US$29, paid once. A license unlocks the Pro features (currently approving or denying agent permission requests from Pitwall) and every version released within one year of purchase. Versions released in that year keep all their features for as long as you use them; we don't make them expire or switch them off remotely. The only exception is a license that is refunded, charged back or found to be misused, which we disable.
- Renewal costs US$15 and adds one more year of updates, counted from the end of your current year or from the renewal date, whichever is later. Renewal is optional and never automatic.
- A license can be active on up to 3 Macs at a time. You can deactivate a Mac in Settings to free its slot.
- Beta builds (0.2 and earlier) are free and stay fully unlocked.
Prices and features are listed on the pricing section of this website. A price change applies to new purchases and renewals, never to a license you've already paid for. A new version can change or retire a feature, but it won't take away a Pro feature from a version you already have.
Purchases and refunds
Purchases are processed by Creem, our reseller and merchant of record, which handles payment, sales tax and invoices; its terms also apply to the purchase. Your license key is sent by email after payment. If Pitwall Pro doesn't work for you, email [email protected] within 14 days of purchase for a full refund. We disable a refunded license key so it can't be activated again. This doesn't affect any rights you have under consumer law.
Your license
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the app on Macs you own or control, for any personal or commercial work. You may not:
- redistribute, sell, rent or sublicense the app, or offer it as a service;
- modify the app, or reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble it, except where the law allows this despite this restriction;
- remove or work around any license checks or notices in the app.
The app is proprietary. We keep all rights not expressly granted here, including the Pitwall name and icon.
Open-source collector
The event collector (the hooks and extension that record agent events) is open source under the MIT License. That license, not these terms, governs the collector's source code.
Changes to your agent configs
Installing the collector adds Pitwall's hooks or extension to the agents you choose. Before changing an existing config file, the installer saves a backup and preserves settings and hooks unrelated to Pitwall. Uninstalling removes Pitwall's hooks or extension from the current configuration; it does not replace it with an earlier backup. Event files and backups remain on your Mac unless you delete them. Review the changes and keep any backups you need.
Third-party agents
Pitwall macOS works with coding agents made by other companies. It isn't affiliated with or endorsed by them, and their names and trademarks belong to their owners. How those agents behave, and your use of them, is governed by their own terms. Updates to an agent can change what Pitwall can see.
Accuracy
Pitwall shows status based on the signals each agent provides, and those signals are sometimes incomplete. A status, notification or duration can be late, missing or wrong. Don't rely on Pitwall alone for anything important: check the agent itself before approving actions, merging work or assuming a task succeeded.
No warranty
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the extent the law allows.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits or work, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim, if any. Some jurisdictions don't allow these limitations, so they may not apply to you.
Ending the license
You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling the collector (pitwall-collector uninstall) and deleting the app. Your license ends automatically if you break these terms.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when paid features are introduced. We'll update the date above and note significant changes on the home page. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Privacy
How the app handles data is described in the Privacy Policy.
